Experience

Eric is an expert on music industry transactions, regularly advising his clients on a full suite of deals in the recording, songwriting, and live performance spaces, as well as ancillary fields such as merchandising activities and book publishing. In addition, Eric deftly navigates a range of commercial disputes and litigation-oriented matters for his clients, with a particular focus on those disputes that commonly arise in the music industry. Eric is also well-versed in trademark registrations and prosecutions, with his skills in that field being best reflected through the numerous registrations he has obtained for marks initially refused on likelihood of confusion and descriptiveness grounds. Eric earned his law degree magna cum laude from Duke University in 2014, where he focused his studies on copyright law, trademark law, and the First Amendment.
