Eric has become an expert in the fields of music industry transactions, copyright disputes, and intellectual property counseling over the course of more than ten years of professional experience and training. In the transactional space, Eric regularly advises his clients on a full suite of deals in the recording, songwriting, and live performance spaces, as well as ancillary fields such as merchandising activities and book publishing. In addition, Eric deftly navigates a range of commercial disputes and litigation-oriented matters for his clients, with a particular focus on copyright infringement and other disputes that commonly arise in the music industry. Eric is also well-versed in trademark registrations and prosecutions, with his skills in that field being best reflected through the numerous registrations he has obtained for marks initially refused on likelihood of confusion and descriptiveness grounds. Eric earned his law degree magna cum laude from Duke University in 2014, and graduated from Dartmouth College with high honors in 2009.
